Phaetus/DropEffect
Phaetus DropEffect neXt G Fiber Extreme Gradient Hotend
Couldn't load pickup availability
The abrasives-ready neXt G: PT1000 sensor, 320°C+ rating and an RCC-coated all-metal heatbreak, in the Dragon footprint. The Phaetus / DropEffect neXt G Fiber is the black, high-temperature version of the neXt G ultra-high-flow hotend, built for carbon- and glass-filled filaments.
Why this over the standard neXt G?
- PT1000 sensor instead of the 104NT — stable readings past 300°C, and the sensor most high-temperature toolhead boards expect.
- 320°C+ rated ceramic heater plate for PET-CF, PA-CF/GF and other engineering filaments.
- RCC-coated all-metal heatbreak — the manufacturer quotes around 100 kg of continuous printing.
- Up to 45 mm³/s with the UHF adapter nut installed, on the same rigid kinematic coupling as the neXt G.
- Dragon footprint — Voron, Creality and other Dragon-style mounts; Prusa MK2/MK3 with the groove-mount adapter.
Specifications
- Model: DropEffect neXt G Fiber, black, 1.75 mm
- Thermistor: PT1000
- Heating temperature: 320°C+
- Heatbreak: RCC-coated all-metal
- Nozzle interface: XG M4 thread (native, the same as the XG Hotend); standard V6 nozzles fit through the included copper-alloy UHF adapter nut
- Included nozzle: hardened steel
- Max flow: up to 45 mm³/s (UHF configuration)
- Filaments: PET-CF, PET-GF, PAHT-CF, PAHT-GF and similar, plus everything the standard neXt G prints
Nozzles and spares
- Native nozzles: our XG M4 nozzles — plated copper for speed, hardened steel for abrasives, brass for the budget. The neXt G Fiber + Nozzle Kit pairs this hotend with 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm plated copper.
- Spares on the shelf: heatbreak kit, heat block, heatsink, ceramic heating kit, PT1000 brass screw and silicone socks.
Gotchas
- Nozzle thread is XG M4, not V6. V6 nozzles only fit through the included adapter nut, and there is one nut in the box.
- Firmware for PT1000: set the sensor type before the first heat-up, then PID tune — a 104NT table reads wrong.
- This is the Fiber / PT1000 version; the red neXt G 104NT is the standard-thermistor one.
- Check toolhead clearance for the heater and sensor leads on compact mounts.

Shipping:
US Shipping is via UPS or USPS. The way it is set up shows the least expensive options for standard, priority and express shipping. I can not take special requests for specific carriers at this time.
International shipping is mostly UPS, as I utilize Zonos/UPS integration to tally extremely accurate import and shipping costs.
I require a telephone and email with international orders and you must make yourself available to the carrier or your customs, should they require more information. If you are unreachable and the package is discarded or returned, I will not be responsible for returning your shipping cost.
If there is a problem with an international order, it is my choice to refund part or all of the order, or send a replacement.
