LH Stinger Carbon Fiber Bed Kit (Bed + Carriage Plates)

The complete carbon fiber bed stack for the 200 mm LH Stinger: the bed plate plus both carriage plates. All three are cut from 3 mm matte 3K plain-weave Toray carbon fiber to the official LH Stinger DXFs — the same parts our Starter Kit ships with, sold on their own for a scratch build, a re-bed or a spare.

What's in the box

  • 1× bed plate — 200 × 200 × 3 mm with four countersunk mounting holes, cut to CF_Bed_200mm2_x3mm. This is the surface you print on.
  • 2× carriage plates — 3 mm, cut to CF_Carriage_Plates. The round spacers and the two cable strain-relief arms are still attached on breakaway tabs: cut them free and keep them, the assembly uses all of them.

How it goes together

  • Carriage: the two plates are epoxied into one dual-plate carriage — the project's picks are Loctite Power Epoxy Universal (150 °C) or J-B Weld High Heat. Cut the tabs flush and file the belt holes smooth first so the belt never rides a sharp edge. FYSETC's Rev 2 kit ships this step done; ours ships the raw plates. Steps: CF Carriage Assembly.
  • Heater: the polyimide heater bonds to the underside of the bed plate on its own 3M adhesive, positioned with the project's alignment jig; let the adhesive cure before the first heat-up. The matching heater is our LH Stinger 24V 200mm Polyimide Heater (not included here).
  • Print surface: the Stinger prints straight on the carbon — bare, or with a wipe of glue stick for filaments that need it. A PEI film is optional; the 192 mm cut of our 20mil Ultem PEI sheet fits this plate. Adhesive film is a commitment: the adhesive is very hard to get off again without marking the carbon, so the project's advice is to start bare and only apply a film once the bed is finished and no longer coming apart.

Specifications

  • Printer/project: LH Stinger open-source Cartesian FDM printer, 200 mm high-speed bed configuration
  • Bed plate: 200 × 200 mm nominal, 3 mm thick, four countersunk mounting holes
  • Carriage plates: two 3 mm plates to the official DXF, spacers and strain-relief arms on breakaway tabs, epoxied together by the builder
  • Material: Toray 3K plain-weave carbon fiber composite, fine matte finish on both sides
  • Print surface: bare carbon (project default); Kapton or PEI film optional
  • Not included: heater, epoxy, fasteners, thermistor

Fitment

  • For the 200 mm LH Stinger bed setup, not the larger 235 × 235 mm bed option.
  • The LH Stinger Starter Kit already includes this bed, carriage and heater; this listing is for building from the BOM, re-bedding or keeping a spare.
  • Build documentation: the official LH Stinger GitHub and its Bed Heater wiki page.

Gotchas

  • No magnet, no spring steel: the Stinger bed stack has neither — the carbon plate is the build surface.
  • Carbon fiber conducts electricity: keep the heater leads and solder joints insulated from the plate and check for continuity between the heater wires and the carbon before you power it.
  • Bed temperature: the project limit for the heater on this bed is 110 °C.
  • Carbon dust: cutting the tabs, filing, drilling or sanding carbon fiber calls for ventilation, a respirator and wet methods.

Shipping:

US Shipping is via UPS or USPS. The way it is set up shows the least expensive options for standard, priority and express shipping. I can not take special requests for specific carriers at this time.

International shipping is mostly UPS, as I utilize Zonos/UPS integration to tally extremely accurate import and shipping costs.

I require a telephone and email with international orders and you must make yourself available to the carrier or your customs, should they require more information. If you are unreachable and the package is discarded or returned, I will not be responsible for returning your shipping cost.

If there is a problem with an international order, it is my choice to refund part or all of the order, or send a replacement.

Addresses are verified through Shopify, but the customer is still responsible for inputting their address in the correct format. Any returns or lost shipments, due to incorrectly addressed packages, are the responsibility of the customer.
